Founded in 1981, CFMS is a co-ed, independent school now serving children ages 2.5 months through grade 8. The Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) classifies Christian Family Montessori School as an AMI Recognized Montessori School in both the Primary and Elementary levels. AMI Recognized is the highest level of accreditation from AMI, which is designated as our accrediting body by the District of Columbia. All of our lead teachers hold AMI certificates at the appropriate developmental levels as well as advanced degrees.
